The swimming season in Moscow and the Moscow region may be completed next week. About this TASS said the scientific Director of the hydrometeorological center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

According to him, in the middle of the week in the capital will come cold, therefore the water temperature will begin to drop significantly. The forecaster predicted that after this period “it is difficult to expect that the swimming season will continue.”

However, within a few days the water in the rivers and reservoirs of the Metropolitan region will still be comfortable for swimming — around 21-23 degrees.

Abnormal cold, cloudy and short rains come in Central Russia on Wednesday, temperatures will be below normal to three degrees. While in Moscow, the cold will be most noticeable. The maximum temperature in the middle of the week will be 18 degrees.

In June the Moscow ponds were tested for coronavirus and compliance with sanitary-chemical and microbiological indicators. The lack of water quality found in lake Meshchersky, Troparevskiy pond and recreation areas “Serebryany Bor-2 and Serebryany Bor-3”.
