According to the REN TV, the studies revealed that visceral fat located in the abdominal cavity, contributes to mild chronic inflammation. This process accelerates the development of age-related diseases and the weakening of the immune system that leads to aging.
The scientists clarify that the key role in the pathological process is played by the specific immune cells — leukocytes eosinophils. These cells help the body to provide protection against multicellular parasites. As leukocytes eosinophils contribute to the development of allergies of the respiratory organs.
