“Traitors” and “spies” (in quotes because before the verdict, aren’t they all) are in jail in the same conditions as other prisoners. With only one difference – they don’t put together (apparently, not to share secrets). But they often have challenges that are unique to these “satanical”. I had severe pneumonia, because the risk of coronavirus. So then I did x-rays of the chest.

Ivan Safronov isn’t the only journalist caught up in “Lefortovo”. Before him there was, for example, the editor of the Kaliningrad “New wheels” Igor Mines (now at large). For more than two years sitting in “Lefortovo” the former publisher of the “News” Erast galumov. But accused of treason journalists Safronov first. I would like to believe the latter.

About three weeks starving in “Lefortovo” the 69-year-old prisoner Viktor Korolev accused of treason. He was arrested this spring in Primorye, was transferred to Moscow. Lefortovo court chose a measure of restraint – detention. But no more information either about the Queen or about his charges, no one to know I couldn’t. Help rare journalists trying to find out anything about an unemployed pensioner, was that his account in one of social networks. There he shared experiences about his fairly regular trips to China. Korolev was Starving in protest against the prosecution, however, against what exactly could not tell the prison staff immediately interrupted the conversation. Wording: “This does not apply to conditions of detention. Now, if he was on hunger strike against the conditions – then you can.”
I was in the hospital “Matrosskaya Tishina”, where I was treated, – he told in the last visit of the members of the PMC. And from there I sent an email to the PMC, “the New newspaper” and “MK”. But no replies received. And in these letters I told his whole story from beginning to end.
Letter to our editors from the citizen Queen is not received. I think they do not forgive censorship. Korolev begged me to find him a lawyer, and wept. But the Prosecutor, neither the hunger strike nor his complaints are somehow not interested.
Teeth and eyes of a spy
In history “Lefortovo” anything can happen, but the situation, which was accused of espionage citizen of Ukraine Konst��ntin sheering, faced for the first time. In the logic to help him was in his native Ukrainian Consulate in Moscow. He regularly writes letters there. In response, apparently, silence. He was, no gear and parcels, no one writes him letters, no one helps… “homeland’s definitely going to leave you” – in the words of one of his compatriots. Threw the Ukraine and one citizen, who was detained in Russia on charges of espionage, former player Vasily Vasilenko. More precisely, initially, he was arrested for smuggling, but just recently, the investigation has reclassified the case on espionage.
