According to the Minister, Russian companies-leaders can slow down the development of new products due to falling demand and the effects of coronavirus. In the medium term, it could adversely affect their competitiveness. To support the industry, Maksut Shadaev has offered to subsidize up to 50% of spending on new software for the real sectors of the economy.

the Minister Also said that the programme for the transition to domestic, IN virtually all state-owned companies have prepared plans and are ready to move to their implementation. “The total cost will be about 80 billion rubles, – said Chagaev. – Is the figure that is vital to our industry to offset revenue losses in other segments”.

Powers of control over the execution of those plans, the Minister proposed to give the government Commission for digital development.
