Representatives publications "Bulletin", "Kommersant" and RBC appealed to the authorities of Belarus to demand the release of detained Russian journalists who were covering elections in the Republic.

"We, the representatives of the Russian media, demand from the Belarusian authorities to provide full and comprehensive information about the state of journalists, if necessary, provide them with medical care and to prevent them employees of the Russian Embassy in Minsk. Also we insist on their immediate release", – said in a joint statement released on Monday.

Earlier in mass media appeared information that in Minsk on Sunday during the dispersal of the protests were detained journalists of the Daily Storm, "Medusa" and the war correspondent Semyon Pegov. The last is the police Department of Minsk, confirmed TASS in the press service of the Embassy of the Russian Federation.
