U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo has accused Russia of use of the open skies Treaty (DON) for aiming your weapons to the infrastructure of the United States and the EU.

"Moscow is increasingly using "open skies" as a tool of military coercion. Moscow appears to be taking photographs under contract in support of the new aggressive Russian doctrine targets among critical infrastructure in the United States and Europe with conventional weapons precision-guided munitions. Thus, Russia, instead of using the open skies Treaty as a mechanism for improving trust and confidence through military transparency, have turned the Treaty into a weapon, making it an instrument of intimidation and threats", – said in a written statement Pompeo.

Trump blamed for Russia

The US earlier announced withdrawal from the Treaty on open skies, which includes, besides the US and Russia, another 32 countries. In the past, Russia denied the accusations of the USA in breach of contract.
