Sanctions over events in Belarus, where protests and clashes with security forces, it is necessary to introduce against Russia. This, according to RIA Novosti, said the Deputy of European Parliament from Poland Jacek Saryusz-Wolski.

As reported by “the Rambler”, according to the preliminary results, the elections of the President of Belarus on August 9 was won by the incumbent head of state Alexander Lukashenko. In this case, after the end of voting in the cities of the country began mass protests, accompanied by clashes with security forces. The Minister of defence of Poland Mariusz Blashak offered to support appeared in Belarus “tendency towards freedom”, but found no reason for NATO intervention.

“what could make the European Union that could offer Poland, is direct sanctions on Russia, not Belarus,” – said Jacek Saryusz-Wolski.

“If you neutralize the role of Russian intervention or even annexation, I think Belarusians themselves to cope with the construction of democracy,” – said Saryusz-Wolski, the Polish radio.
