Russia reminded the United States the name of the first cosmonaut

The US state Department on Russian social media pages published the congratulations with cosmonautics Day, which the rest of the world is known as international day of human flight into space. The American foreign Ministry did not mention the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia called this misinformation and cowardly acceptance of the era of posttrade

In a statement the state Department written in a laconic phrase: “59 years ago, was made the first human flight to space.” It is accompanied by hand-drawn picture of a flying beyond Earth rockets.

We remind our colleagues from the U.S. Department of state, the first man in space the name is Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin, — it is told in the second picture, the Russian foreign Ministry, to which the inclusion of a photograph of Soviet cosmonaut.

Yuri Gagarin made the first flight in space on 12 April 1961.


Earlier, as he wrote the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andrey Ermak said that the country has made a significant contribution to the development of Astronautics in the past. He recalled that the first manned spacecraft designed for the Soviet scientist and designer Sergei Korolyov was born in Zhytomyr. However, it was in 1907, and at the time of birth of the scientist of the future city was part of the Volyn province of the Russian Empire.
