It is expected that the Russian border with Abkhazia will be opened in the afternoon of 1 August. This was reported in the operational headquarters for the fight against the spread of coronavirus in Russia, reports TASS.

As recalled by the headquarters, the changes will take effect after the publication of the relevant order of the Russian government. The document is in the process of registration and will be published in the afternoon of 1 August, said there.

Earlier the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania said that the country is ready to open the border with Russia, but to indicate a particular date is too early. Russia took the decision to open the state border with Abkhazia on August 1.

On the same day, Russia resumes flights. At the first stage flights will be carried out only from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-don. Countries with which the flights will recover in the first place, was the UK (London), Turkey (from August 1, Ankara and Istanbul, from August 10 — Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman) and Tanzania (Zanzibar island). The list will be gradually expanded according to the epidemiological situation.
