The Council on human rights under the RF President proposed to repeal the penalties for violations of self-isolation, if these violations were not serious consequences. This is stated in the report of the HRC, published on the website of the Council.

“the Chairman of the Council Valery Fadeev has suggested to cancel all the fines for the violation of isolation if the cases have not resulted in negative consequences (e.g., … infection of another person)”, — quotes the report, RIA “Novosti”.

It is noted that the remission of fines does not affect the spread of the coronavirus, but will significantly improve the well-being of families.

Earlier it was reported that the party “Communists of Russia” has suggested the state Duma to adopt a law on Amnesty of citizens arrested for violation of the regime of self-isolation. The reason for this decision was financial position of citizens in the context of the epidemic and crisis.
