Russia closes all land borders due to coronavirus

Russia March 30 temporarily closes land border, including the Russian-Belarusian section. This is another measure of the government to combat the spread of coronavirus infection.

According to signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin order will be limited to movement through road, rail, pedestrian, river and mixed checkpoints.

an Exception will be made for citizens of countries that are diplomatic staff and members of the official representatives of Russia, truck drivers, crews of river vessels and trains members of official delegations; for persons leaving Russia in connection with the death of a close relative upon presentation of a copy of the certificate or the death certificate and the document confirming the degree of kinship; for residents of the Kaliningrad region transiting through the Baltic States by train; for Russian citizens, permanently residing on the territory of certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.

the restrictions will not apply to foreign citizens included in the order of 16 March about the ban on their entry into the Russian Federation.
