Russia and the United States will establish a working group on outer space

Moscow and Washington agreed to establish a special working group to discuss issues related to space. This was stated by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov in an interview to the newspaper "Kommersant".

"the Russian side gave us their suggestions on the content of its work and is now waiting for a response," he said.

Informed about reaching such agreement, said assistant Secretary of state for international security and nonproliferation Christopher Ford, with whom Ryabkov met in Vienna in January of this year.

6 APR Donald trump has signed an Executive order supporting commercial exploitation of resources on the moon and other celestial bodies, directing the U.S. administration to oppose any attempts to consider outer space as the common heritage of mankind. As stated in response to the foreign Ministry, outer space, including the moon, is not subject to national appropriation.
