The subject of the roundabout on the minds of the SIGHT-reader. The “5 rules of the roundabout, no one knows” raised the question: How does it work multi-lane roundabout? We are discussing the example of the usual two-lane roundabout with four exits. The rules apply by analogy to (rarely) more than four exits, or (very rarely) more than two tracks.
Who takes a maximum of a half a circle (i.e. to the right or straight ahead), the outer track. Who is a circle more than a half (i.e., to the left or want to apply), should take the inside track. Probably should be noted: Mandatory (for example, according to TCS) is the use of the respective track, only if this is signalled to the appropriate exit (signs, markings). Is this not, one must continuously outside.
at the entrance
two lanes on the roundabout, to choose so in advance the appropriate links for the inside, right outside, or according to signal element. Who’s wrong here, it is allowed to switch the track of course, before the roundabout or on the roundabout again, but blinking as in the case of each of the lane change to observe the precedence of the other tracks, and can run over any solid lines.
Who is Important at the exit a
inside, blinking at the Back on the right track to the right, and the right-of-way on the outer track in mind, so it can compel no one in the outside lane to brake. This applies, of course, even then, when other (even if, contrary to the Signaling is to take) throughout the outer track, although you want to the third or fourth exit – because that doesn’t change the fact that the lane changer does not take precedence. And: Just in the gyro, that one has to anticipate mistakes of others and give respect to each other.
At two-lane exits, the same applies: anyone Who changes from the inside of the roundabout – in the left exit lane, may do so only if no one is hindered in the outside lane. By the way: for not-to-transport due to from inside to outside, please do not stop, but another round of turn. Although you are not allowed to turn on a whim, unnecessary rounds, but if traffic is technically necessary. By the way: With one additional round, you can make great use of vehicles on a blue light journey to happen.
special case of lane-reduction
A rare special case of the roundabout, where two entry lanes lead into a one-lane roundabout. Then, for example, is (according to the Aaib) of the priority of the left is due to the centrifugal inlet ends of the track in front of the right! This is not to say, however, that the left driving are allowed to force the end of the first. Tip: In such cases, you should keep in a lot of traffic to the (of course voluntary) zip method.
