In the field of mining, which was one of the main drivers of industrial production, the strongest decline has shown production of natural gas 16.2%. In this case, the trend is not touched liquefied natural gas (LNG), production of which increased by 4.5%. Additionally, this region increased coal production by 3.1%, and petroleum gas – by 2.5%.

Despite the fall in demand and oil prices, compared to April of last year, its production increased by 0.2%. But it is worth considering that in 2019, Russia was bound by the terms of the deal, OPEC+, and in April of this year, on the contrary, increased its production after the breakup of the old agreement to reduce production. It is noteworthy that in comparison with last year also increased production of petroleum products and chemicals at 0.7 and 2.4%, respectively. However, if to compare with March 2020, it also recorded a decrease by 12.3 and 7.2%.
