Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian economic Council commented on the claims of the leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko about the price of gas.

Lukashenko at the meeting expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the markets still have not settled the issue of pricing of gas transportation services. According to him, the last time this question became even more urgent, and it needs to find a consensus, reports “BelTA”.

Putin said in response that a single tariff for transportation of the energy source may be approved only after members of the EEU will create a single budget and a single system of taxation. At the moment, “Such a deep level of integration” of the Union, said the Russian President. So now the prices depend on the market situation considering the cost and investment providers.

Putin Also added that the question of prices for gas transportation is the last paragraph of the prepared draft Strategy for the development of the EAEU until 2025, at which members of the Union not agreed. Developed the formula for calculating the rates support far only Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

“This formula is not yet accepted by the Armenian and Belarusian counterparts, they have their own point of view on this issue”, – quotes Putin TASS.

Earlier, Lukashenko said that Moscow sells to Minsk gas at an unfair price – $ 127 per cubic meter. While Europe pays for Russian gas is about one and a half times less – about $ 70.
