Putin: In the critical moments of the Russian Federation and Turkey have found common ground

Russia will not always agree with Turkey’s assessment of the situation in Syria, but in crucial moments we were able to find common ground. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin after talks with the leader of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the head of the Russian state, to find common approaches to solving international issues, Moscow and Ankara has allowed close personal contact between the leaders of the two countries. He also expressed confidence that the agreements reached with President of Turkey in Moscow, will be a good basis for the settlement of the situation in Idlib.

Note, the meeting of the Russian and Turkish leaders took place in the Kremlin, it lasted about 6 hours. Only the Protocol part of the conversation in the presence of the media the talks were held behind closed doors. One of the main topics of the talks was the situation in the Syrian Idlib.
