A member of the Public chamber of Russia, Chairman of the National parent Committee Irina Volynets proposed to postpone the celebration of Russia Day from June 12 to July 1. She said in an interview with RT that he has already sent an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

She believes that June 12, many Russians associate with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and not obtaining the country’s independence. In her opinion, it is necessary to assign another date of celebration of Day of Russia. The most appropriate day for this is July 1, specifies social worker.
