The head of state proposed to discuss the situation in the world, focusing on the situation in neighboring countries.

The situation in the former Soviet Union is one of priorities of Russian foreign policy. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the operational meeting with permanent members of the security Council of the Russian Federation, which took place via video link.

The head of state noted that political and economic interests of neighboring countries often coincide with the Russian.

“This is certainly one of our foreign policy priorities”, – said the Russian leader.

Putin also did not rule out that Russia will provide additional assistance to Lebanon after an explosion in the port of Beirut.
