French Marshal Philippe Petain, the Soviet commander Andrei Vlasov, the leader of Ukrainian nationalists Stepan Bandera and ruler of Norway Vidkun Quisling was a traitor, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. He wrote about this in an article for the American magazine The National Interest on the Second world war.
“Their henchmen and followers — although he was disguised as fighters for independence or liberation from communism — the traitors and murderers,” — says the Russian leader.
According to Putin, the followers of these people often surpassed them in inhumanity. They were willingly carried out the most inhuman orders.
“They are responsible for such bloody events as the shootings at Babi Yar, Volyn massacre, Khatyn, the destruction of the Jews in Latvia and Lithuania”, — explained the head of state.
