German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian leader Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation during which discussed the situation in Ukraine, Libya and Iran. This was announced by government spokesman of Germany Steffen Seibert.

“the focus of the conversation was the implementation of the Minsk agreements on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the East of Ukraine”, — TASS quoted the Seibert.

The parties also discussed the situation around the military embargo against Iran, as well as the current situation in Libya.

Earlier, Putin held a telephone conversation with President of Algeria Abdelmajid Tabunom.

During the conversation the parties discussed including the situation in Libya.
