Residents of New Zealand June 1, came to the protests over the death of African American George Floyd during the arrest in the United States. They chanted the slogan Black Lives Matter in solidarity with the victims.
In Oakland, protesters marched past the American Consulate with placards “We’re next?” and “Justice for George Floyd”. Following a peaceful demonstration they sat down on the road. In the capital city of Wellington more than a hundred people marched from Parliament house to the U.S. Embassy, Reuters reports.
In Australia because of the scheduled for June 2, protests will close the Consulate in Sydney States, the Agency said.
The session of the court which was to stand dismissed after the death of Floyd ex-policeman Derek Savin, moved from June 1 to June 8. The reason for this decision is not reported, writes CNN. Savino charged with manslaughter.
In the US protest after the death of Floyd passed in at least 140 cities. In some cases, they turned into riots. Because of this, at least 21 States have deployed national guard forces, wrote NEWS.ru.
