After recovering from a mild form of coronavirus, 71-year-old Prince of Wales told me that one of his favorite things to do on the quarantine was watching funny videos.

In an article he wrote for the magazine Country Life, Prince Charles, staying at the Scottish estate of Birkhall, spoke about the implications of the coronavirus and that the good he sees in the current situation.

“During the Grand fears and losses, the courage and commitment of those involved in health and social work, truly amazing. Behind the walls of hospitals, nursing homes, doctors ‘ offices and pharmacies we have also seen soul warming burst of amazing kindness and caring about needy people across the country,” wrote Prince Charles.

He added, as a touching concern for young people who are doing shopping for the elderly, regularly call for those who live alone, record a Church service and send them by e-mail to parishioners who cannot attend Church and it is all thanks to the use of technology.

“This is what allows us to continue to work and keep in touch with loved ones through virtual parties, games, singing and some funny video that I watched for hours during the quarantine. In these difficult times it is nice to see that tribulations awaken in people the best,” added the Prince of Wales.

He also noted the value of farms in the UK and urged not to take them for granted. The Prince of Wales said that the pandemic coronavirus showed the British how “precious and valuable” was the simple food. And the country owes her for 80 000 farmers.

“We are in a huge grateful indebted to them (…) because the “food is not magic,” he added.

Earlier this month, Charles was diagnosed with a coronavirus, and now he is in good health. With words of gratitude to the British doctors in his address to the nation was made by Queen Elizabeth II.
