“Peculiar and delicate art of Palekh lacquer miniature has incorporated the principles of ancient Russian painting and folk art. Artists in their works was made by the custodians and followers of traditions”, – told in a historical and cultural institution.
Favorite subjects was Osipov folk customs and rituals, epics, tales, and song motives. A significant place in their work took the painting. Visitors will see works from the Museum collection and the private collection of the family, painted in tempera colors with gold and silver.
the couple Osipova graduated from the Palekh art school named after M. Gorky. In Gomel, they came in the early 1960s. the works of artists exhibited at major international exhibitions. Their works are stored in funds of the Belarusian Union of artists, National art Museum, the Museum of the Gomel Palace and Park ensemble.
