The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova at the meeting on the sanitary-epidemiological situation in Russia with the participation of Russian leader Vladimir Putin spoke about the testing of the viability of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the water.

She said that in the “Vector” carried out a study to determine the viability of the coronavirus in samples of water, which, as noted by Popov, “it was very important before the holiday season”.

“the Virus either in sea water or fresh water does not breed, however, may persist, and our close monitoring about 800 research shows that such risks yet,” — said the head of Rospotrebnadzor.

Also, according to her, during the research it was revealed that the coronavirus “is not resistant to temperature, i.e. the boiling kills it instantly, as many other viruses”.

Earlier, the Minister of health of Russia Mikhail Murashko announced a reduction in the number of hospitalizations of patients with COVID-19.

Deputy Chairman of State Duma Committee on health protection, doctor of medical Sciences Nikolay Govorin in a conversation with FAN commented on the situation with coronavirus in Russia.
