Pope Francis was invited to Ukraine

the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky invited Pope Francis to Ukraine. During the meeting with the Pontiff in the Vatican, the Ukrainian President proposed to get acquainted with the situation in the Donbass. Zelensky noted the important role that Dad could play in establishing peace on the Ukrainian land.

After the audience Zelensky told the press that the Pontiff even called him a “President of peace” and noted that in Ukraine Pope Francis uses “extremely high support and confidence”.

Also during the conversation Zelensky and the Pontiff discussed the humanitarian initiatives to help children and protect the environment. The Ukrainian leader thanked the Pope for his initiative in “Dad for Ukraine”, which has helped 900 thousand Ukrainians who suffered in the Donbas.
