Police: the consistent rally in Moscow was attended by about 300 people

on Saturday in Moscow on Suvorov square gathered supporters of the referendum on amendments to the Constitution. The meeting was coordinated with the municipality of the capital, writes “Interfax”. As the coordinator of the “Left front” Sergei Udaltsov, about three thousand people demanded the Russian government to hold a referendum, not a popular vote. The participants of the meeting believe that the amendments shall be voted on individually, not list. Left-the patriots are also in favour of the inclusion in the Constitution of Russia the return of state property on natural resources, the lifting of the pension age increase, reduction of fees for utility services.

according to the Agency, in the Moscow police, have gathered 300 people, and the rally organized by the “Left front” Party, the movement “new Russia” and “the Other Russia”, Association of carriers of Russia, took place without violations.

the crowd observed a minute of silence in memory of recently deceased Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin.

Udaltsov announced that the next rally of left forces together with the Communist party scheduled for February 23.

President Vladimir Putin in his address to the Federal Assembly on 15 January suggested a number of important amendments to the Constitution.
