NATO intends to bring Georgia to the security in the Black sea. About it informs “Sight” with reference to interview of the special representative of NATO Secretary General in Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai “Georgian radio”.

Appathurai said that the situation in the field of security in the Black sea has deteriorated to Georgia, Ukraine and countries-members of NATO because of the “aggressive actions of Russia in Ukraine and in Georgia.”

“therefore, we intend to actively involve Georgia in the so-called “hybrid defense” against such calls from Russia, as cyber attacks, disinformation, energy blockade disguised military or intelligence activity,” he said.

Also the special representative of NATO declared that Georgia will be included in the program of air safety, and international NATO exercises.

In addition, according to him, the allies consider greater involvement of Georgia in regional military exercises.

“So we painted four clear steps to Georgia are more involved in security in the Black sea”, – said the representative of NATO.

As reported by “the Rambler”, a year ago NATO countries have developed and agreed on a package of measures to support Georgia and Ukraine in the Black sea. It, in particular, includes plans for entry of ships of NATO in the Ukrainian and Georgian ports, joint military exercises Navy and data exchange.
