Traders from Azerbaijan has threatened to leave the St. Petersburg Armenian apricots in light of the unfolding conflict between the countries over Nagorno-Karabakh, writes 47 News.

According to the publication, the clash between the two diasporas has occurred at the Sofia embankment, where farmers from Armenia brought apricots. They were met by the landlords, the natives of Azerbaijan, and demanded to leave without unloading the goods.

As a result, the fruit had to be sold to the nearest metro station. Moreover, according to the interlocutor of the edition, retailers were able to increase the price than the original — from 130 to 150 rubles per kilogram.

The victims say that never before had experienced problems with representatives of Azerbaijan, which used to do business and to rent space.

In mid-July in Moscow there was a conflict between the Armenian merchants, who leased area of the shopping center, Food city, and his leadership. The centre is owned by businessmen of Azerbaijani origin God Nisanov and Iliev Harju.

The situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated on July 12 when both sides accused each other of provocations and attacks. Thus, it was concluded violated the 1994 truce and ceasefire, which is the result of the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
