The peak of the “food panic” and excessive demand in Moscow is completed, said the office of the Federal Antimonopoly service in the capital.

Analytics showed, reported in a press-service of management that the price situation on the market of socially important food products is stable, an abrupt rise in prices is not observed.

“the Dynamics of receipt of messages from residents of Moscow shows that the peak of the food panic and excessive demand is passed”, — said in a statement.

It noted that, according to the daily monitoring, the food in the capital’s shops economically and physically accessible, the deficit is not observed.

Earlier, Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov has instructed regional prosecutors to respond immediately to information about the overstatement of prices for socially important goods.

In early April, the General Prosecutor instructed the FAS to check the validity of the increase in food prices, including ginger root, garlic and lemons.
