Liverpool FC have signed the young Portuguese Fabio Carvalho for the new season – the club announced this on Monday. The deal fell through in the winter due to a lack of papers.

Commitment in the summer: According to “Transfermarkt”, 19-year-old Fabio Carvalho is said to have already signed a contract with Liverpool FC. According to English media reports, it was given a term of more than five years.

Papers were missing: The Reds actually wanted to sign the Portuguese junior international from Fulham in winter, but the deal fell through at the transfer window. Liverpool had not submitted the necessary papers to the English Football League, which is responsible for the lower leagues, in good time.

Market win: Fabio Carvalho has only been playing in the second English division at FC Fulham since this season. The young midfielder scored ten goals and eight assists in 36 appearances last season. Its current market value has increased from 8.5 million to 12 million euros.

Farewell to Liverpool risky – could Salah face the same fate as Messi?
