Orthodox Christians celebrate Candlemas

Orthodox Christians February 15 celebrate the Candlemas. This is one of 12 major religious holidays.

the Holiday was established in honor of meeting (the word “Candlemas” in old Slavonic language means a meeting) of baby Jesus with righteous elder Simeon and the prophetess Anna.
