The polls for voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation opened on Thursday in the Eastern regions of Russia – on Kamchatka and Chukotka, where the first voters have already expressed their civil position, told TASS in the regional election commissions.

"In Kamchatka today, the 182 polling station in the regional capital of 66, some of them are already open from 08.00 local time (23.00 MSK medium). From 10 to 25 June, ahead of schedule voted about 4.3 thousand people, among them sailors, soldiers, rybodobytchikami, the miners and residents of remote areas of the Peninsula", – said in the regional electoral Commission.

In Chukotka on Thursday will open the 55 polling stations, some of them are also already open. For two weeks from the beginning of early voting, their attitude to the amendments to the Constitution was expressed by about 1.3 thousand inhabitants of the Autonomous Okrug.

In early June, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the proposal to hold a July 1 nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution. CEC provided the vote was not only this day but for six days before the due date "for the dispersion of citizens ‘ time and minimize their contacts".
