The second round of qualifying for the US Open was very disappointing for the Germans. Only one of five DTB men reached the third and final qualifying round.

Big disappointment: Both Jan-Lennard Struff and Daniel Masur will not serve in the main draw of this year’s US Open, both were eliminated in the second round of the qualifying competition for the Grand Slam, as “Tennisnet” reports. Struff lost in three sets to Enzo Couacoud from France. Masur was eliminated by Italy’s Francesco Maestrelli.

Short, clear, compact

Marterer the only German: Since Mats Moraing also dropped out on Thursday, Maximilian Marterer is the last remaining German in the qualifying competition. The 27-year-old now meets Riccardo Bonardio. The winner goes to the peloton.
