The Ukrainian language should be the only state in the country and the second official language should be English, said in an interview with “Ukrainian truth” head of the national security Council and defence of Ukraine (NSDC) Alexey Danilov. Thus, according to him, Russian could not be the second language as “he “don’t need to know”.

“there is No second, the Russian, we can not be — not because it is not necessary to study, it is not necessary to know. If we are talking about Ukraine — it must be only state language Ukrainian…do you Need a second language in Ukraine? Of course. But it should be English that you want to study since kindergarten,” said Danilov.

According to him, all Ukrainian citizens to “be in the civilized world”, must know and use English.
