How long has it been since you passed the theory test for your driver’s license? If you want to test your knowledge, just use this cool ADAC web app and find out!

Minimum distance, zipper procedure, phoning in the car: What is allowed when driving and which rules apply? That’s exactly what the ADAC asked more than 3500 drivers in a survey and asked 20 official questions from the theoretical driving test.

The result: Only 2 percent of those questioned were able to answer more than the majority of the questions (over 80 percent) correctly. And your own assessment is deceptive: those who assessed their level of knowledge better than that of the others often did much worse.

If you now want to take the test yourself, you can start it via the web app ADAC Driver’s License Check (at CHIP.de).

The web app contains the same 20 questions that the ADAC asked the 3547 representatively selected participants in the survey.

The questions come from the official list of questions for the theoretical driving test, which includes a total of around 1150 theory questions. These are questions that driving license candidates could expect in the theory test.

In the image above you can see how the survey participants did. After completing the test, you can easily compare your result with that of other drivers.

The web app cannot be compared one-to-one with the theoretical driving test. The ADAC has primarily focused on tricky and new questions, because the catalog of questions for the theory test is constantly being renewed.

All the better, however, to put your traffic knowledge to the test and to measure yourself against other drivers. Can you do better than the rest?
