The first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Gennady Onishchenko said that Russia should completely abandon alcohol. This is reported by NEWS.ru .
Today, October 3, the Day of Sobriety and the Fight against Alcoholism is celebrated all over the world. Onishchenko noted that in our country there is a similar day, which falls on September 11. However, according to the deputy, in Russia all 365 days should be made sobriety days.
“This is a multifactorial, multicomponent, multidisciplinary problem that should never leave the agenda,” Onishchenko said.
He stressed that in Russia it is necessary to achieve a complete refusal of the population from drinking alcoholic beverages. This indicator has already been achieved in Chechnya and Ingushetia.
The deputy proposed to reduce the availability of alcohol for the population by raising its prices to the European level. According to Onishchenko, it is necessary to abandon alcohol-containing dual-use products and engage in the formation of a healthy lifestyle.
