Oncologists call unexpected cause of liver cancer

Poor oral hygiene is one of the factors in the development of liver cancer, according to a study by the European scientists in the United European Gastroenterology Journal. Hepatocellular carcinoma represents one of the types of cancer that indirectly stems from problems related to teeth, particularly tooth decay.

Poor dental health increases the risks of developing not only diabetes, stroke and heart disease, but with some types system cancer of the gastrointestinal tract.
