letters, photographs, documents of the past and the true history of the Muscovites about the heroes of the great Patriotic war, the 75th anniversary of the great Victory was published on the Internet page of the joint project igsc “My Documents” and Glavarhiva “Moscow – caring for history.” The first online exhibition in the eve of may 9 became the exhibition “remember That Red area about war?” which is available on the website, “I’m home”.

the exhibition featured footage from the Victory parade on 9 may and 24 June 1945 from the collections of the archive of congratulatory letters and messages of the Muscovites, the number of troops, the number of instruments and participants of the parades on red square. The exhibition is divided into four thematic sections. In the “Unique facts” you can find out what mysterious incident happened with the Banner of Victory, who considered the secret weapon of Stalin, which structure was erected on the red square specifically for the Parade, like dogs and pigeons helped the Soviet soldiers at the front, and more.

In the tab “History of Muscovites” it is curious to read, for example, an interview of the famous Soviet announcer Yuri Levitan in the rooms of the newspaper “Pravda”, which his friend Yury Belkin deposited in the Glavarhiva along with pictures of Levitan.

There are photos military photojournalist of the newspaper “Pravda” Alexander Ustinov, passed to his daughter, and letters to the Muscovites, in which citizens share with each other the emotions of Winning.

There are news reports on the jubilation and the events on the Day of Victory, as well as footage of those memorable days.

in addition, for the 75th anniversary of the great Victory of glavarkhiv Moskvy and igsc “My Documents” run the largest virtual Museum dedicated to the great Patriotic war. It will be possible to get acquainted with all documents and objects of the war time that residents of the capital have transferred to permanent storage. Each visitor of the virtual Museum will be able day after day, month after month, to go from the first days of the war to a victorious may, 1945, to see the peaceful life of people who don’t yet know about the coming war, to explore the unknown facts is difficult in time of war and to understand what price was given the country’s recovery and return to civilian life after the end of world war II.
