Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov praised the decree of the President of the United States Donald trump on sanctions against refusing to pick up their citizens. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The politician said that the Russian side intends “to deal with this signal”, but this is not the time to declare the introduction of new sanctions measures.
Ryabkov added that the international community acknowledges the “negative role of sanctions methods and techniques” at the present time, when restrictions worsen the situation of ordinary people instead of trying to change “the behavior of governments.”
Earlier it was reported that the United States decided to impose sanctions against refusing to pick up their citizens. The corresponding Memorandum was signed by Donald trump. Restrictions can expect those countries that refuse or unreasonably delay accepting their citizens, nationals or residents during the outbreak of coronavirus. The Memorandum will last until December 31, 2020, unless extended.
