Since 2015, Andreas Leopold Schadt has been working as a TV commissioner in the Franconian “crime scene”. Now the actor surprisingly announced his departure from the prestigious ARD series. “I wasn’t that happy with my assignment anymore,” he explained his decision in an interview with Bavarian Radio.

In the future he wants to dedicate himself to new challenges: “I’m on the go for everything, of course also in front of the camera. I have a few formats, do a lot of advertising and just let me surprise you a bit. And I’m also available for all Franconian formats.”

Schadt, alias Commissioner Sebastian Fleischer, is not to be replaced for the time being. “As a guy, Fleischer is irreplaceable anyway. He’s too distinctive for that,” explained BR Tatort editor Stephanie Heckner. As part of a nationwide extremely popular team of investigators – consisting of Felix Voss (Fabian Hinrichs), Paula Ringelhahn (Dagmar Manzel), Wanda Goldwasser (Eli Wasserscheid) and Michael Schatz (Matthias Egersdörfer) – Fleischer was allowed to appear in a total of eight films in and around Bamberg, Nuremberg , Fürth, Würzburg and Bayreuth do their job.

Just three years ago, in an interview with the teleschau agency, Schadt raved about his work at “Tatort”. “We have the best team imaginable, a fantastic atmosphere on the set,” said the 44-year-old at the time. “We also get along well off screen, we like going out for a drink. I can imagine that the chemistry is relatively unique. Maybe you can feel that when you watch it.”
