Christian Eriksen was in the spotlight at EURO 2021 because of his cardiac arrest. Now the Dane is making sporting headlines again and is moving from FC Brentfort to a top club after his recovery.

Three-year contract with the Red Devils for Eriksen: As expected, Manchester United have signed the Danish international Christian Eriksen. The 30-year-old is moving from FC Brentford to the English record champions on a free transfer, where he will meet superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and ex-Dortmunder Jadon Sancho. Eriksen has signed a three-year contract with Manchester until the summer of 2025.

Short, compact, clear

EM trauma is ticked off: Christian Eriksen was the center of attention at the EM 2021 when he suddenly collapsed on the lawn with cardiac arrest in Denmark’s opening game against Finland in Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium. Paramedics had to revive him. He was then fitted with a defibrillator.

No future in Italy: After a long break, the midfielder, who played for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League from 2013 to 2020, made his comeback at FC Brentford. His contract with Inter Milan had previously been terminated because he was not allowed to play there with a defibrillator under the rules of the Italian Serie A.
