Actor Sergei Garmash left the theater "Contemporary" because of "unrealistic expectations". This was reported by RBC actress Marina Neyolova.
"I think this "dramatic" built care insulted Sergei Leonidovich Garmash from the collection of the troupe’s more concerned with his personal ambitions and unreasonable expectations than with creative declarations <…> Dear artists, let’s get to work, not to rant on the topic of protection and "salvation" theatre" said Neyolova.
According to her, the tradition "is not a rigid form but a reasonable evolution," that is the way and there is a new theatre artistic Director Viktor Ryzhakov.
A few days ago Garmash left "Contemporary", where he played from 1984. In an open letter to colleagues, he described the situation in the theatre "monstrous".
The actor, in particular, angered the online project dedicated to the anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war, of the statements which he considered "blasphemy and provocation". Harmash said that Ryzhakov first pushed the actors to participate in the project, and then edited the footage. When some of the artists protested, they "just shut your mouth, appealing to some opinions," added the actor.
