Now archaeologists explore two large barrows in the area Dinskoy region near the hamlets Misfire and Primakov. Special interest to scientists was found a stone ball for slingshot – projectile weapons. Ancient warriors would put such a stone ball at one end of the belt or rope, the other end picked up, whirled over the head and metal as a projectile. It was one of the most common types of weapons at the time. The sling is called the “Bible” of instrument, because, according to legend, with her help, the future king of Judah and of Israel, David defeated Goliath. Subsequently this story was described in the Bible.

in a large mound, whose height is more than six meters, the archaeologists discovered other elements of ancient weapons. In particular it details the horse-drawn carriages of the time – fingers and psalii.

Near this mound there is another ancient burial, which he loses in height but more in length – 60 meters. It belongs to a different era – II century BC As already wrote “RG”, it is believed to have buried a tribal leader or noble people. According to tradition the warrior of such high rank in the late bronze age to the underworld accompanied by servants or representatives of its kind, i.e., in the burial must be the remains of several people. Now in burial objects, confirming the high social status of the leader that was buried. This is a bronze knife, two silver pendants (they decorated headdress), and bone piercings, which are used in the home, and a stone scepter.

In another mound, located nearby, archaeologists found a mass grave of Nogai (steppe Crimean Tatars) XVIII-XIX centuries. Near the site was probably located their village, and the mound got a part of the Nogai national cemetery.

Archaeological excavations in the territory, which will host a future far Western bypass of Krasnodar, will continue until the autumn of this year.
