RBC presented made by the Agency “National credit ratings” a study of the Russian regions for quality of life. Took into account such indicators as the trade turnover per capita, housing affordability, employment and savings, availability of teachers and doctors and others.

Also considered the population density in the region in order to correctly assess the burden of social infrastructure. Data were taken from FTS, Rosstat and the Central Bank. First place went to Saint Petersburg, the second Moscow. The third place was earned Belgorod oblast, fourth and fifth places – Moscow and Voronezh region. Also, the leaders of Tyumen oblast, Khanty-Mansiysk and Krasnodar Krai.

Petersburg is ahead of Moscow in the provision of housing, but the study’s authors believe that this may be due to the large number of housing estates under the capital, which is reflected on the account.

Also named the worst for the life of the regions. They were of Tuva, Karachay-Cherkessia, Ingushetia, Kalmykia, Altai Republic, Khakassia and Jewish Autonomous oblast. The reasons for low consumer activity of the population, high level of overdue loans and the low level of investments of the population in banks. It is noted that this rating does not reflect the informal employment in the economy.
