Voting on amendments to the Constitution may take place either on 1 July or 8 July. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to an informed source.

Both dates fall on a Wednesday, thus the day of voting, most likely, will be declared a holiday.

Earlier media reported that the vote on the Constitution could take place on Wednesday, June 24 — the same day as the Victory Parade on red square on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany. Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to hold a military parade on this day.

Note that initially the vote on the Constitution was to be held on Wednesday, April 22. However, it had to be postponed because of the pandemic of coronavirus in the country.
