“Earlier “Gazprom” pay only for the actually transported volume, they accounted for only 46% of the contracted. But in the new contract is already in force the principle “swing or pay”. In other words, if you compare with the previous contract, because of the action of this principle in January 2020, the actual rate of transit of gas for Gazprom was more than two times higher than in December 2019,” — said Vitrenko.

the Transit of Russian gas through Ukraine decreased in January 2020, three times compared with the figure for January of last year to 2,548 billion cubic meters, according to “Naftogaz of Ukraine” and “Ukrtransgaz”.
