Scientific Director of the hydrometeorological center of Russia Roman Vilfand in an interview with RT told about the significant change in temperature background of the next week in Moscow.
“there Comes a really sharp change of atmospheric circulation, air flow rushing into the center of European Russia from the North, comes the real cold. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature will be around 20 °C , and of course after the 29-degree temperature is reduced. Wednesday and Thursday the temperature will be even lower to +14… +19 °C,” — explained the expert.
These weather fluctuations, according to the forecaster, can cause “severe discomfort”, as projected not only lowering temperature, but changing weather conditions.
“Reduced pressure, and the weather will be cloudy and rainy. Weather changes will be felt since Monday, but from Tuesday especially. Wednesday will be very appreciable rain, and sometimes heavy rain. These rains will be monotonous, it’s not the summer rains that pass quickly… Is gloomy: low overcast clouds, and the sky, the rain and wind. The wind will be noticeable, 7-8 m/s, but periodically gusting to 17-20 m/s,” — said Vilfand.
According to the forecaster, a “period of uncomfortable weather” will end at the end of the week, and on Friday there will be a noticeable improvement.
Vilfand explained that the summer period are generally characterized by variability of weather conditions.
