Project #mosqueteros the Moscow Committee for tourism jointly with the Museum of Moscow has launched a series of online tours of famous historic hotels in the city. Users will be able to learn more about such hotels, as “Metropol”, “Soviet”, “national”, “Ukraine” and “Leningrad.”

the Tours will be led connoisseurs of Moscow Denis Romodin, Larisa Skrypnik and Mary Kalisz. They will be acquainted with the history of the construction of buildings, hotels, architects and artists who worked not only on the interiors, but also over every detail of the exterior. Also you can learn interesting facts about the hotels and their guests. For example, where there lived Vladimir Lenin after the formation of the new government, in which room Joseph Stalin signed a peace agreement with China and why had the hotel tried to do wide hallways.

the First tour is already available.

It is dedicated to gostinnitsa”, built in the Stalin Empire style. In 1998 the building was reconstructed. The hotel according to the original design restored the malachite hall. The interiors have been preserved intact.

the second issue I will tell you about hotel “national” — one of the oldest in Moscow. It is located in the center — at the corner of Tverskaya and Mokhovaya streets. Its history is connected not only with Moscow, but throughout Russia.

the Third tour will be held in hotel “Metropol”, which looks like a Museum under the open sky. The art Nouveau building has an old history and delights passers-by majolica panels, made from sketches by Mikhail Vrubel, as well as sculptural frieze of “the seasons”.

About the hotel “Ukraine” — one of the seven legendary skyscrapers of the capital — tell in fourth year. She was the last of Stalin’s skyscrapers, and consists of three buildings: Central (34 floors), its height is 206 meters including the 73-meter spire, and side housings, which contain 250 apartments.

In the fifth release cycle we will focus on another Stalinist skyscraper — hotel “Leningrad”, which opened in 1953.

Special online project #Mosqueteros launched in March of this year, with the assistance of the Moscow Committee on tourism and cultural venues in the city.
