high school Students from Moscow Vasilisa Kislitsyna (school No. 218) and Eugene Epifanov (school # 1589) won the silver medal in the 52nd International chemistry Olympiad. This year it was held in an online format from 23 to 30 July.

Together with them, Russia was represented by students from St. Petersburg and Chelyabinsk region. The team scored four medals: one gold and three silver. Just the competition was attended by 235 students from 60 countries of the world.

the Olympiad was held in one round — the theoretical, which lasted five hours and included nine tasks (approximately 80 questions). In Russia the competition took place at the site of the Moscow Centre of pedagogic mastery, where it was ensured adherence to all sanitary and epidemiological requirements. According to the regulations, together with the participants was an observer during the whole tour was a live video feed.

the international chemistry Olympiad has been held since 1968. In the past the competition was attended by teams from 80 countries.
