In Moscow will close the monorail, which is part of the metro system. About it the newspaper “Vedomosti” said the three officials in city hall.
The publication found out that the city authorities are likely to announce the closure operating since 2004 metro line No. 13 for a long repair, but restarted the monorail will be gone.
It is estimated that the monorail only 39 regular passengers. In the year this transport is used by 1.5 million passengers. Annual spending on road maintenance are estimated at 800 million rubles.
In the Moscow metro and the Moscow transport Department said that there were various options for the fate of the monorail, however, until decisions have been made.
